Osaka Concert
January 23, 2022 Mikiko and I performed a concert in Osaka’s Shimamura Music Store.
For this concert Mikiko and I had performed with our original sax and piano instruments but we also explored the possibility of presenting classical music on an electronic wind instrument and the Roland's digital piano (LX708). This was one of my first attempts using Roland's Electronic Saxophone, AEROPHONE in a concert and I think it was quite interesting! Program was as follows:
Bach: Italian Concerto in F BWV971 arr. for saxophone and piano
I. Allegro
Mozart: Violin Sonata No. 18 in G Major, K. 301 (With Electronic Instruments)
II. Allegro
Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809): Sonata in G major (after Piano Trio No. 31 in G major, Hob.XV:32) arr. Inoue, Yamaguchi
(With Electronic Instruments)
I. Andante
II. Allegro
Beethoven - Horn Sonata, Op. 17 arr. for saxophone and piano
I. Allegro moderato
II. Poco adagio, quasi andante
III. Rondo, allegro moderato
Many Thanks to Shimamura Gakki Osaka Umeda store for all the support. It is not easy holding concerts during the time of covid especially, while Osaka is under pre-emergency state but they were extremely professional with their prevention protocol. We hope to explore more of the possibilities of Roland’s electronic instruments again!
